ABOUT Marc greenberg

Growing up in the jewelry business sparked a passion in Marc Greenberg. Being a part of this family tradition lead to his lifelong fascination with diamonds. Now he’s become one of the industry’s preeminent experts on rare, natural colored, and large white diamonds. The business is in his genes. In addition to Greenberg’s father who was a wholesale jeweler, traveling throughout the U.S., both his grandfather and uncle were Midwestern jewelers. Embracing his heritage, Greenberg embarked on an apprenticeship program over the course of four summers, first by sorting diamonds and learning about single cut stones and then progressing to full cut diamonds and fancy shapes and, finally, large round diamonds.

After studying marketing and management at Roger Williams University and at Fort Lewis College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, Greenberg embarked on a full-time career in the diamond trade. Prior to starting his own business dealing rare and uncommonly high quality diamonds, the noted diamantaire honed his skills at respected manufacturers, dealers and wholesalers. His career has included tenures at Fabrikant, KMA, Codiam – his first venture into the incredible, vivid world of natural, fancy colored diamonds – something he’s been on the forefront of bringing to the publics’ eye growing demand, Cora International – another firm specializing in colored diamonds, E. Schreiber, and Beny Sofer.

Bringing his 25 years of experience to bear; Greenberg is a leading expert in portable wealth management and former board member of the Natural Colored Diamond Association. Whether helping luxury retail jewelers around the world or private parties seeking to expand their long-term portfolio investments via the acquisition of diamonds, Greenberg offers his expertise educating both individuals and retailers. He’s become first on the industry speed dial, the go-to expert for diamonds of a unique color, quality, or size. Now, his son, Zac, follows in his footsteps, joining his father on larger projects.

Over the past two decades, white diamonds have remained the most popular. Natural blue and pink diamonds have, however, been trending upward and Greenberg has helped guide clients to these stable investments as well.

Greenberg constantly travels the globe but calls coastal southeast Texas home. He resides with his daughter. When not sourcing, identifying and purveying the world’s finest diamonds, Greenberg spends time following Zac’s band [Zac Greenberg Quintet] and their charitable efforts through Musicians For Health.
